The port of Izmail doubled its transshipment last year

The total cargo handling volume of the Izmail sea port in February amounted to 1 million 345 thousand tons. This is 24% more than in January 2023.

“Currently, the Port of Izmail is exceeding the plan by 274%,” USPA reported.

The first position in the cargo nomenclature has been held for many months by cereals, the second by other agricultural products (oil, sunflower, meal, soy).

It is noted that the number of operators specializing in the processing of grain cargoes and agricultural products has increased from three to eleven.

In general, according to the results of 2022, the port of Izmail increased cargo handling by 2.2 times compared to 2021 — to 8.89 million tons.
