The President of Lithuania: Baltic ports can pass through 10 million tons of Ukrainian grain per year

After the development of port corridors in the Baltic Sea, it will be possible to send up to 10 million tons of grain from Ukraine through local ports.

Ukrainian grain in the amount of 10 million tons per year could be sent through Baltic ports, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said, reports “European Truth”.

According to him, it is impossible to export as much grain through the ports of the Baltic countries and Poland as Ukraine exports through the main transit routes. But if this alternative route is well developed, the total contribution of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia can be significant.

Nauseda emphasized that the EU countries should “do everything possible” so that Ukrainian grain can be supplied to international markets without hindrance.
