The Izmail district prosecutor’s office initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war due to the Russian attack on the ports of Odesa Region.

According to the investigation, on the night of August 2, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a drone attack in Odesa region. The enemy attacked the facilities of the port and industrial infrastructure of the Danube.

The occupiers destroyed the elevator, grain hangars, tanks of one of the cargo terminals, production, warehouse and administrative premises, the Office of the Prosecutor General said in a statement.

The three-story building of “Morvokzal” was also significantly destroyed. As a result of the attack, shipping has been suspended in one part of the Danube.

Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing a complete list of destruction caused by Russian shelling.
