The Rada abolished the import duty for sea rescue vessels


The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine canceled the import duty for sea vessels used exclusively for rescue operations.

Deputies adopted the corresponding draft law at the plenary session on Thursday, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the faction “Golos”, reported.

In general, draft law No. 8139-d proposes to amend the Customs Code and provide for the exemption from customs taxation of sea vessels that are imported into the customs territory of Ukraine under the import regime for use exclusively as search and rescue units for the purpose of fulfilling international treaties of Ukraine in the field of protection of human life at sea.

In addition, the deputies adopted draft law No. 817, which provides for the introduction of appropriate changes to the Tax Code, as well as exemption from taxation of aircraft that will be used in Ukraine for rescue purposes.
