The Russian Black Sea Fleet will receive three missile ships

This year, the Black Sea Fleet of the aggressor country will receive three small missile ships.

Against the background of regular losses of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Shoigu announced the appearance of new ships in Crimea, reports “Krym.Realii”.

According to the head of the department, these will be ships of the “Karakurt” project.

In November 2023, the Karakurt-class Askold corvette, which had not yet entered the Russian Navy, was probably hit by a cruise missile. Subsequently, Ukraine announced the destruction of the ship. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation described it as “damaged”.

Corvettes of the “Karakurt” type are capable of launching up to eight cruise missiles and are equipped with one of the variants of the “Pantsyr” anti-aircraft missile complex.
