The Russian Federation is planning naval training in the Caribbean

Russian ships and long-range bombers will take part in the exercises.

For the first time since 2019, Russia plans to conduct large-scale exercises in the Caribbean. The United States interprets them as a response to American support for Ukraine, CBS News write .

However, the US does not consider the Russian exercises to be a direct threat to the country. Russian ships are expected to call at ports in Cuba and possibly Venezuela. The exercises themselves will continue throughout the summer, culminating in a worldwide naval exercise in the fall.

As USM wrote the day before, more than 30 NATO ships arrived in Klaipeda for naval exercises.
