China will build 20 dry cargo ships of the Optimax project to the order of Russia.
The first Chinese vessels for Russia will be ready in 2025. This is reported by rosZMI.
The Russians claim that the construction of ships in the People’s Republic of China will cost twice as much as in Russian shipyards. As of today, Russia has signed a contract for the operation of 10 ships from China.
Previously, USM wrote that Russia is asking China to help with shipbuilding.
The Russians also plan to create a cargo fleet for “more effective” grain theft from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
