By the end of the year, the Russian Navy will receive only one ship armed with “Kalibrs”, instead of the promised four.

By the end of the year, the Russian fleet will receive a small missile ship “Naro-Fominsk” (project “Buyan-M”), armed with a missile complex “Kalibr”, reports rosZMI with reference to the general director of the shipbuilding company “Ak Bars” Renat Mistakhov.

Currently, they are completing work on completing the ship afloat, carrying out mooring tests and preparing orders for further tests.

“Naro-Fominsk” was launched last December in Zelenodolsk.

Earlier, Mistakhov stated that this year alone, the Russian fleet will receive four small “Kalibr” missile ships: three MRK “Karakurt” and one IOC “Buyan-M”.

From June 28, 2022, the United States introduced sanctions against the Ak Bars shipbuilding corporation. Ukraine imposed sanctions on the company on October 19, and the European Union in December.
