The russian oligarch’s ore worth UAH 800 million was transferred to ARMA

The arrested ore of the russian oligarch was handed over to the National Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA).

Tens of thousands of tons of iron ore worth almost UAH 800 million were transferred to ARMA. The raw materials were planned to be delivered by sea to russia’s military-industrial complex enterprises, including missile factories, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported in Telegram.

It is about 50 thousand tons of iron ore, arrested in one of the Ukrainian ports. It turned out that the party belongs to the company of a russian oligarch from the inner circle of the kremlin elite. During the investigation, it was established that the ore was delivered to the port in January 2022 for further shipment to russian industrial facilities. But after the start of a full-scale war, the oligarch — the beneficial owner — found himself under sanctions.

In order to hide the real destination, they planned to send the ore by sea to different parts of the world, to companies that are part of the russian oligarch’s holding. Even then, the raw materials were delivered to russian industrial complex enterprises.

In total, warehouses with more than 160,000 tons of Ukrainian iron ore were discovered on the territory of several seaports of Ukraine. The total value of extracted minerals is about UAH 2 billion.
