The Russian senator exported components for the invaders’ fleet from Ukraine

In Sumy Region, according to SBU materials, the assets of a Russian senator who exported components for the Russian fleet from Ukraine were nationalized.

According to the SBU’s materials, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the Ministry of Justice’s claim for confiscation of assets belonging to the sanctioned senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Serhii Kalashnikov to the income of Ukraine, the SBU reported.

It is about the nationalization of 100% of the authorized capital of “Motordetal – Konotop” LLC in the territory of the Sumy Region. This enterprise is one of the largest factories in Europe, which produces cylinder liners for automobile, diesel and marine engines.

Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the products of the Ukrainian Kalashnikov plant were supplied to the Russian Federation for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex.

In particular, the unique components of the Konotop plant were needed by the Russians for the production of their own warships.

Also, the senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the Kostroma region, Kalashnikov, voted for the ratification of the “agreements” on the recognition of the so-called “L/DNR”. And after the start of a full-scale war, he supported the “accession” of the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.

SBU investigators have started a pre-trial investigation within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of actions committed for the purpose of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territory or state border of Ukraine).
