The Russian ship damaged “its” deep-sea vehicle

The crew of the Russian ship failed to control the ship, which led to a collision between the hulls of the ship and the “AS-36” apparatus.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Thus, on July 1, during tests in the waters of the Norwegian Sea, the modernized Russian AS-36 deep-sea vehicle was damaged.
“During the descent of the deep-sea vehicle to the water, the crew of the “Rudnitsky” failed to control, which led to the collision of the hulls of the ship and the “AS-36”, – said the intelligence.
As a result, the Russian deep-sea apparatus was damaged, which does not allow to continue the tests.
It should be noted that before the accident, the device was modernized at the Gunnery Ship Repair Plant in St. Petersburg. Modernization has been ongoing since 2017.
The rescue ship of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation “Mikhail Rudnitsky” became the carrier of “AS-36”.
Currently, the Russians are assessing the damage and calculating the time needed to repair the AS-36.
