The Russian ship “Oboronlogistika” returned from Syria to the Russian Federation

At the end of August, the Sparta IV ship of the Russian “Oboronlogistika” returned from Syria to Novorossiysk.

Dry cargo has completed another circular flight “Novorossiysk – Tartus – Novorossiysk”, the press service of “Oboronlogistika”reported reported.

According to the report, the ship delivered commercial cargo to Syria, which “traditionally included” industrial chemicals, carbon-containing materials, base oils, and construction materials.

On the return flight to Novorossiysk, they returned “a large batch of empty containers and transport equipment necessary to ensure the continued uninterrupted operation of the line.”

The Russians claim that the line “provides the needs of state and commercial customers for the delivery of goods to the Syrian Arab Republic, including within the framework of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.” Also, the occupiers note that they are observing an increase in the volume of transportation and the influx of customers in this direction “in the conditions of Western sanctions and import substitution.”

Dry cargo Sparta IV specializes in the delivery of general, container cargo, and also transports cargo that requires special conditions, including perishable products, dangerous goods, cars, heavy construction equipment and oversized cargo.

In July, researcher Benjamin Pitte published a satellite image showing the Russians transporting weapons on the Sparta IV cargo ship in the Black Sea.

Since 2015, Oboronlogistika LLC has been working in the structure of the military construction complex of the Ministry of Defense of Russia. In particular, the company transports military goods by sea. It has the status of a shipping company and is the owner of sea vessels that operate in the waters of the Black and Mediterranean Seas, as well as on the lines of the Baltic, Arctic and Far East.

Sparta I, II, III and IV are among the vessels of “Oboronlogistika”. One of these vessels could have transported drones from Iran to Russia, which the terrorist country is currently using to attack Ukraine.
