The Russians are mining hydraulic structures in the Belgorod region

In the Belgorod region, the Russians are actively building defense fortifications and mining general and special purpose hydraulic structures.

This was reported by the spokesman of the operational-tactical group “Kharkiv”, Colonel  Vitaliy Sarantsev.

According to him, the mining of dams can be considered as a “bookmark” for the future – for example, if the Russians have to blow up hydraulic structures to stop the advance of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Also, according to Sarantsev, Russia can prepare provocations on mined dams, in order to later accuse Ukraine of a humanitarian and ecological disaster. Russians can use provocation to mobilize the population, as well as divert attention from internal problems.

Sarantsev noted that the detonation of dams can cause large-scale floods, inundation of settlements and an ecological disaster.

Earlier, USM reported that the quality of water in the Seim river in Sumy region is getting worse. The probable source of the contamination is still located on the territory of Russia.
