The Russians destroyed 270,000 tons of grain in the Odesa port and on the Danube

Due to Russian shelling, 270 thousand tons of grain were destroyed in the Danube and Odesa ports.

“After the termination of the “grain initiative”, there were more than 8 attacks on the infrastructure of Odesa and the Danube, which led to the loss of about 270 thousand tons of grain, which was contracted and was supposed to go to foreign markets,” said the deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Denys Marchuk, reports “Ukrinform”.

According to Marchuk, Ukraine can export up to 2 million tons of agricultural products every month through the Danube ports. Port capacity can be increased to 3 million tons per month.

We will remind you that the Grain Agreement, which was concluded by Ukraine, the United Nations Organization and Turkey last July, ended on July 18, 2023. The “mirror” agreement was concluded by the UN, Turkey and Russia.

Earlier, USM reported that the second ship left the port of Odesa through a temporary corridor in the Black Sea.

Bulker left Odesa on August 26 and headed for the port of Varna in Bulgaria. However, on the same day, the ship was forced to stay on the raid – probably due to the threat of Russian attacks on the Snake Island. The next day, the vessel was no longer in the waters of Odesa.
