The Russians have deployed a target barge with electronic warfare equipment to protect the Kerch shipyard.

In occupied Crimea, the Russians have installed an electronic warfare (EW) device on a barge at the entrance to the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch.

This is reported by the “Crimean wind”.

Thus, the Russians have installed a barge with passive EW elements at the entrance to the bay of the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch. The vessel is equipped with masts with corner reflectors that distort the radar signal of the missile’s homing head. These passive EW devices are used to create a false target for attacking missiles.

This is the so-called target vessel — a “large ship shield of project 436 bis”. Two such vessels were placed on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in 2015.

An artillery boat of project 1204 “Bumblebee” is moored to the barge. This is a river artillery lightly armored boat with a displacement of 73 tons, a length of 27 m, a speed of up to 24 knots. Armed with one 76-mm gun, machine guns, a launcher for 17 140-mm MLRS and a portable air defense system. Such boats were transferred to the Sea of Azov during the war from the Caspian Flotilla.

The Zaliv plant in occupied Kerch is known for building warships for the Russian fleet.

Earlier, USM reported that the occupiers in Crimea are trying to sell the “nationalized” ports in Yalta and Yevpatoria.
