Two rockets hit a ship flying the Turkish flag, which had been idle in the port of Kherson for more than two years.
The rockets, which were probably launched by the Russian military, hit the starboard side of the vessel. “Kuruoglu-3”. The vessel belongs to Istanbul company “Kuruoglu Denizcilik”. This was reported by Deniz İşcheleri on the social network X.
The ship with a deadweight of 7,634 tons arrived in Kherson on February 22, 2022 and got stuck due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent closure of the port.
In turn, the company “Ambrey” stated that during the past two years, numerous vessels that were stuck in Mykolaiv and Kherson ports were hit and damaged.
It will be recalled that at the beginning of February, Turkey promised to apply sanctions against Russian ships that are heading from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
