The Russians tried to aim Kalibrs at a foreign ship in the Odesa port

On August 24, the Russian military deliberately aimed several missiles at a Liberian-flagged cargo ship in the Odesa port.

According to British intelligence, the missiles, including two Kalibrs, were fired from a missile carrier of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and were successfully shot down by Ukrainian forces on August 24.

It is noted that the target was a cargo ship under the flag of Liberia, which was standing in the Odesa port.

Intelligence sources say the attack followed US warnings that the Russians could attack civilian vessels in the Black Sea.

“Putin is trying to win a war he is not going to win, and these attacks show how desperate he is. By targeting cargo ships and Ukrainian infrastructure, Russia is harming the rest of the world,” said the head of the British Foreign Ministry, James Cleverley.
