The second vessel successfully passed through the temporary corridor from Ukraine
The second ship left the port of Odesa through a temporary corridor in the Black Sea. Currently, it is almost near the shores of Turkey.
“The second vessel has reached Romanian territorial waters after successfully passing through our temporary Black Sea corridor,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on August 27.
It is about the bulk carrier Primus, which has been blocked in the port of Odesa since February 2022. He arrived in Odesa on February 20, four days before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
Bulker left Odesa on August 26 and headed for the port of Varna in Bulgaria. However, on the same day, the ship was forced to stay on the raid – probably due to the threat of Russian attacks on the Snake Island. The next day, the vessel was no longer in the waters of Odesa.
Currently, according to MarineTraffic data, the ship is almost close to the shores of Turkey. The bulker is loaded with steel for African consumers.
Certificate. Primus is a bulk carrier under the flag of Liberia, built in 2006. The home port is Monrovia. Deadweight – 32588 tons. The vessel was originally owned by Erma Marine SA of Greece, but during the blockade the vessel changed hands to Nova Polar Ltd of Singapore. The ship also changed its name from Polestar during its stay in the port of Odesa.
