The Shipping Administration is developing software for vessel registration and inspections

By the end of 2025, the Shipping Administration plans to develop technical requirements for the development of the necessary software (software) for ship registration and inspections.
This was reported by the head of the Shipping Administration Mykola Kravchuk.
A meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Development and Reform, the Shipping Administration, the Estonian Center for International Development (ESTDEV) and the Embassy of Estonia in Ukraine was held in Kyiv.
As part of the concluded agreement on cooperation in the field of information systems expertise, the parties discussed the current status of the creation of an electronic state database in the field of shipping.
“By the end of the year, we plan to develop technical requirements for the development of the necessary software for ship registration and inspections. Particular attention is paid to potential cooperation for 2026 on the development of other information and communication systems and cyber protection complexes for the high-quality provision of electronic trust services in Ukraine and abroad,” the message says.
In particular, together with the head of digital transformation projects at ESTDEV Andres Aaremaa, they agreed to continue exchanging information to qualitatively meet Ukrainian needs for digitalization of activities.
We will remind you that in June of this year, Ukraine and Estonia agreed to cooperate on IT solutions for the maritime sector.
