The Shipping Administration issued the first seaman’s diploma under the new procedure

The Shipping Administration has issued the first qualification document in the order provided, taking into account international requirements and practices approved by the government.

“Yes, the seaman, after submitting an application for confirmation of qualification by seniority, within 10 days, received a positive decision of the State Qualification Commission for Seamen and a diploma of a senior mechanic with confirmation. Currently, the graduation procedure is as transparent and easy as possible,” said Yevhenii Ignatenko, head of the Shipping Administration.

In order to obtain qualification documents, a seafarer must personally submit a written application:

• to the Shipping Administration (Kyiv, Peremogy Avenue, 14);

• SC “Morrichservice” (Odesa, 39 M. Hrushevsky St.);

• SC “Morrichservice” (Kyiv, Preobrazhenska St., 23);

• SC “Morrichservice” (50 Svyat-Nikolska St., Izmail).

Ignatenko reminded that the application is considered by the State Qualification Commission for Seamen within five working days from the day of its submission. If, based on the result of the consideration of the seafarer’s application, the State Qualification Commission for Seamen makes a decision to issue a qualification certificate
