The shipyard in Kyiv may be put up for auction
The National Bank of Ukraine will be able to compulsorily sell the property of the “Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant”.
The court finally confirmed the NBU’s right to forcibly sell the assets of PJSC “Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant” outside the bankruptcy procedure. The property of the CSSR will be put up for auction. This was reported by the press center of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The NBU notes that the ship repair plant is a property guarantor for the obligations of the Finance and Credit bank. In 2015, the bank was declared insolvent.
Since the plant did not fulfill its obligations under the loans, the NBU appealed to the court to approve the sale of the company’s property. In particular, we are talking about non-residential buildings with a total area of 43,440.9 square meters. m. In total, the shipyard owes the state more than UAH 6.2 billion.
Reference: Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant is a shipbuilding enterprise located in the Kyiv Dnipro harbor. The plant was founded in 1896. The enterprise specializes in the construction of mixed river-sea vessels, ferries and non-self-propelled barges. The authorized capital of the plant is UAH 62.5 million. Currently, a bankruptcy case has been initiated against the company.
