The sixth ship for the United Nations went to Yemen through the “grain corridor”

The bulk carrier Pangeo, chartered by the UN World Food Program, departed from the Chornomorsk seaport on Sunday, October 23.

This is the sixth vessel chartered by WFP that has left Ukrainian ports since the start of the grain initiative, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported. It has 40,000 tons of wheat on board, which will be delivered to Yemen.

In total, as part of WFP’s work, the ports of Great Odesa have already sent 190,000 tons of wheat, batches of which were sent to Ethiopia, Yemen and Afghanistan.

On Sunday, six ships left the ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa and “Southern” through the grain corridor, which will deliver 124.3 thousand tons of agricultural products for the countries of Asia and Europe.

“Russia is deliberately delaying the full implementation of the Grain Initiative.” In this regard, the ports have been operating at only 25-30% of their capacity in recent days,” the MIU noted.

So far, as part of the grain initiative, the ports of Greater Odessa have sent 380 ships that exported 8.5 million tons of agricultural products.
