The stable operation of Ukrainian ports affected the export of corn
Ukraine increased corn exports to China thanks to the relative stabilization of deep-sea ports.
Every week, one or two panamax trucks with corn are sent from the ports of Ukraine to China, reports the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council.
According to analysts, as of November 27, Ukraine exported 2.4 million tons of corn from the contracted 2.5 million tons since the beginning of the month. As of December, 2.2 million tons have already been contracted.
“Deep-water ports are starting to work and Ukraine is more actively selling corn to China, where its price with delivery at the level of $250 per ton is competitive. China bought about 100-120 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn last week, 100-150 thousand tons the day before last. That is, one or two panamaxes are sent to China every week, where buyers are satisfied with the price-quality ratio of Ukrainian grain,” the report says.
It is expected that against the background of stable demand from China, the increase in prices for Ukrainian corn will continue.
Analysts also noted that by the beginning of March, the main offer of corn on the world market will be from Ukraine and the USA.
