The State Emergency Service cleared more than 15 hectares of water areas of the Mykolaiv Region of ammunition
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are examining the water area of the Mykolaiv region for the presence of explosive objects.
Thus, on July 1, modern special equipment was used to carry out such works on the territory of one of Mykolaiv enterprises: underwater robot Charpie, underwater drone Fifish V6 Expert M100, hydrographic apparatus Sonobot 5, the State Emergency Service reported.
The survey was carried out with the involvement of a special demining boat of the “river-sea” type, the diving and rescue boat “Ryavatniki 2019” and the diving and rescue boat Crouline.
In places where divers discovered explosive objects, protective buoys were installed, after which the ammunition was raised to the surface. Then they were transported by boat to the shore to be loaded into a special pyrotechnic vehicle, in order to later destroy dangerous finds in a specially designated place.
“Surveying the water area is another direction of our specialists of the State Emergency Service. Currently, we are improving our skills and using robotic equipment, modern boats and underwater drones, which will speed up the process of demining reservoirs. There is a lot of work ahead, but we are ready for these challenges,” Serhiy Kruk, head of the State Emergency Service, said.
In general, more than 15 hectares of water areas have already been cleared of GNP in the territory of the Mykolaiv region. And the use of underwater drones and robotic equipment will speed up the process of demining reservoirs and protect personnel from injury.
