The UDS returned two vessels that were seized by the Russian Federation
“Ukrainian Danube Shipping” released the tugboat “Bratislava” and the vessel “Mechanic Holovatskyi” from arrest.
A year ago, the vessels were arrested at the request of NIS GAZPROM NEFT, TTS reports with reference to its sources in the company. The majority owners of the plaintiff are Gazprom, which is controlled by the Russian Federation.
“The Russian Federation managed to arrest the entire UDS fleet, but we repelled the attack and continued to work on the Middle Danube and fly to Serbia. Only two vessels remained hostages. The struggle lasted for more than a year, finally the vessels were released,” the UDS reported.
Currently, ships are returning to Ukraine from Serbia.
