The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP is being investigated by ten police and SBU task forces

The criminal proceedings regarding the detonation of the Kakhovska HPP are being investigated by 10 investigative and operational groups, consisting of employees of the SBU and the National Police.

“As part of the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers together with prosecutors are checking all versions of the events in order to establish the circumstances of the committed crime and the guilty parties,” the Prosecutor General’s Office noted зазначили  noted.

In total, 40 protocols have already been drawn up based on the results of reviews of open sources. A number of requests have also been sent to state bodies and services, the prosecutor’s office notes.

Currently, law enforcement officers are recording the locations of flooding. In particular, inspections of five places of events were carried out with the help of a quadcopter – four critical infrastructure objects in the city of Kherson are in the surveillance zone. They are related to water supply and drainage.

As the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, previously noted, Russian forces deliberately blew up the Kakhovska HPP on instructions from the Kremlin.

“The dam was blown up by Russian terrorists with explosives that were planted in advance in September-October last year,” Danilov said.
