The US is considering a draft law related to the Black Sea
The bill on security in the Black Sea region of 2023 was submitted to the US Senate. In particular, it is about support for the Three Seas Initiative and military activity in the Black Sea.
“The draft law envisages a more active and decisive foreign policy of the United States regarding the Black Sea region, including strengthening coordination between the United States, NATO and the EU. We are also talking about strengthening economic ties between the US and the states of the Black Sea region, in particular, it is mentioned about support for the Three Seas Initiative,” Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova reported.
In particular, it is about the possibility of creating a joint multinational headquarters that will be responsible for training planning and coordination of all military activities of US allies and partners in the Black Sea.
Also, according to the draft law, an interagency strategy for increasing US military aid and coordination with NATO and the EU will be presented 180 days after its adoption.
