The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts a significant decrease in the production and export of grain crops in Ukraine.
This year, the total volume of grain production in Ukraine will decrease by 13%, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) predcits.
According to analysts, grain exports from Ukraine will decrease by 26%.
One of the reasons for the decline in exports is the depletion of grain stocks in Ukraine. At the same time, stocks at the end of the season are estimated at 1.8 million tons – this is 19% more than in 2024, but significantly less than the pre-war figure.
The largest reduction is predicted in corn production – by 24%, compared to the 2023/24 MY, to 24.6 million tons. Corn exports may decrease by 33% – to 19.6 million tons.
Wheat production is expected to remain at 22.9 million tons, but exports could fall by 19% to 15 million tons.
Earlier, USM reported that the Ministry of Agriculture had named the minimum prices for export grain in February.
