The USA announced a new aid package to Ukraine, which includes boats
The US Department of Defense announced the provision of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $375 million, which included patrol boats.
As stated in the message on the Pentagon website, this is already the 66th aid package that the Administration of President Joe Biden will provide to Ukraine from the warehouses of the US Department of Defense, starting in August 2021.
In general, the new package includes air-to-ground weapons, ammunition for missile systems and artillery, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
The aid package from the US includes:
• air-to-ground missiles;
• ammunition for highly mobile artillery rocket systems (HIMARS);
• 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition;
• anti-tank weapons (TOW);
• Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
• M1117 armored guard vehicles;
• vehicles with enhanced protection against mines and ambush attacks (MRAP);
• light tactical vehicles;
• armored bridge systems;
• small arms;
• patrol boats;
• minesweeping equipment and ammunition;
• spare parts, support equipment, services, training and transportation.
“The United States will continue to work with about 50 NATO members and partners through the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine and related coalitions of forces and assets to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to win the war,” the Pentagon emphasized.
Previously, USM reported that the US handed over boats to Ukrainian border guards.
