The national ban on ships connected to the Russian Federation entering American ports will continue for another year.
US President Joe Biden extended the ban on ships connected to Russia entering US ports. This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to the statement of the White House.
“The policy and actions of the government of the Russian Federation regarding the continuation of a deliberate, unfounded, unprovoked and brutal war against Ukraine continue to constitute an emergency situation due to the threat of violation of international relations of the United States. Therefore, pursuant to section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 USC 1622(d)), I am maintaining for one year a national emergency to regulate the berthing and movement of Russian-related vessels into US ports as set forth in Proclamation 10371 “, — said Biden.
As USM previously wrote, United States sanctions prevent Russia from repairing oil refineries.
Also recently, the USA handed over weapons confiscated from Iranian ships to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.
