The USPA has completed the assessment of corruption risks

The risk assessment was conducted as part of the implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority”.
According to the USPA, a comprehensive assessment of corruption risks covered all key areas of activity.
In particular, this is one of the key stages of implementing the company’s anti-corruption policy, which is implemented in accordance with the international standard ISO 37001:2016 and current legislation.
During the assessment, the main areas of potential threats were identified – in particular, in the field of port infrastructure management, financial and business operations, personnel processes and security issues.
In response, the USPA has developed and is implementing a set of practical measures aimed at reducing risks and increasing transparency. Among the main steps:
– strengthening control over access to port infrastructure;
– implementing digital tools to increase openness – including ERP-system and electronic document management;
– improving procedures in the field of procurement;
– expansion of internal audit and anti-corruption compliance.
“Completing the corruption risk assessment is an important step to increase the transparency and efficiency of the USPA. We have not only identified potential threats, but also introduced effective tools to minimize them. Openness, digitalization and enhanced control are the key principles of our anti-corruption strategy,” the USPA noted.
In particular, the state-owned enterprise emphasized the importance of further cooperation with state institutions, international partners and public initiatives in the field of combating corruption.
As previously reported by USM, the USPA saved over UAH 57 million on public procurement. As of March 31, 2025, based on the results of open bidding and other competitive procedures, the USPA concluded 550 contracts with a total savings of UAH 57.6 million.
