The USPA met with representatives of stevedores working in the port of Chornomorsk, amid increased shelling

The head of the USPA, Artem Lytvynov, met with representatives of stevedoring companies operating in the seaport of Chornomorsk.

The USPA reported that the port of Chornomorsk is currently one of the leaders in terms of cargo handling volumes.

The status of implementation of the plan in the port today is 106%. At the same time, the port infrastructure operates under constant enemy attacks, which requires quick decision-making and maximum coordination between state structures and business.

The issues raised by business during previous meetings were worked out by the USPA together with the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Odesa Regional Military Administrartion.

As a result of this work:

• an accelerated algorithm for conducting a diving inspection of vessels was developed;

• the validity periods of permits for vehicles were extended;

• the port’s operation algorithm was changed during an air alert, taking into account security requirements and the need to ensure the continuity of port operations.

USM previously reported that a public-private partnership project in the port of Chornomorsk was presented in Brussels.
