The water in the Dnipro is slowly decreasing after the terrorist attack on the hydroelectric power plant
The water level in the Dnipro at the Kherson mark is slowly decreasing by 0.5-1 cm per hour.
Since June 8, the water level in the Dnipro has dropped from 5.68 m to more than 5.07 m. Currently, the level is 0.61 mm according to the Baltic system, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine reports.
“For comparison, before the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP dam, the water level in the Dniepro at the Kherson mark was 0.31 meters,” the report says .
In the area of the “Nizhnyodniprovskyi” nature park, the water is gradually receding. Currently, the average level is about 0.61 m.

The shallowing of the water area in the “Veliky Lug” national park also continues. In the Kamianska Sich National Park, the water level dropped by approximately 13 m.
As previously reported by USM, the invaders blew up the Kakhovska HPP dam on the night of June 6. Evacuation of the population began in Kherson and in the territories controlled by Ukraine.
