This year, the first ferry flights from Ukraine to the South Caucasus took place, — Ambassador

Since the beginning of the year, the first ferry flights from Ukraine to the South Caucasus since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion have taken place.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Gusev in an interview with Ukrinform.
“This year, with the support and leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia, the first ferry flights from Ukraine to the South Caucasus have taken place,” the diplomat said.
According to him, such an increase in logistics significantly improves the possibility of delivering Ukrainian cargo to Azerbaijan and vice versa.
“This is an important element of expanding the capabilities of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, which connects China and the European market and passes through the countries of Central Asia, the South Caucasus and Ukraine, as a bridge to the countries of the European Union,” Gusev explained.
Azerbaijan has a strategic geopolitical location, so the expansion of the Trans-Caspian route is a direction of its strategic partnership with Ukraine.
USM previously reported that the shipping company Ukrferry told what promising routes for ferries could pass through Ukrainian ports.
