“Ukrainian Danube Shipping” summed up the results of 2023. Among them is an increase in the volume of transportation, repair of the fleet, as well as the return of sea vessels.
“We are summing up the results of 2023! The volume of transportation increased compared to 2022 and amounted to almost 1.8 million tons. Almost one and a half hundred repairs of the self-propelled fleet and half a thousand repairs of the non-self-propelled fleet have been carried out,” the UDS press service said.
In particular, UDS returned all sea vessels and restored the first of them – “Vilkovo”, which is already making its first flights.
“We have returned and restored our huge floating crane. It also works and provides the company’s income. Our transshipment worked well – 262,000 tons of cargo were processed. This is an investment project that increased revenues, the profitability of transportation and strengthened the market position of UDS,” the message reads.
The UDS emphasized that in the summer they signed a cooperation agreement with the IFC, successfully completed the first preparatory stages and came very close to the largest investment program in the history of the UDS.
“Next year will be decisive. Difficult economic situation in the country and region. But we are persistently moving forward and waiting for the appearance of the first modernized self-propelled vessels. There will be many other changes related to the enterprise management system. Not only the fleet is being modernized – our entire enterprise is being modernized,” the UDS shared.
