Trade turnover at the port of Piraeus increased by 30%

Piraeus Port Authority SA announced a 29.3% increase in turnover for the first half of 2022, which comprised 93.1 million euros.
The container processing sector recorded a 53.6% increase in income and became the first in history to become a surplus sector.
The cruise business sector recorded an increase in income by as much as 182.1%.
The increase in cargo turnover occurred due to the increase in capital investments in all types of port activities during the first half of the year, the company’s administration says.
During the first half of the year, PPA SA recorded a 72% increase in profit after tax, amounting to 25.9 million euros.
