US President Donald Trump has threatened to cut off arms supplies to Ukraine if Europe does not help unblock the Strait of Hormuz.

Donald Trump threatened to cut off arms supplies to Ukraine in order to force European allies to join his coalition to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.
Last month, Trump demanded that NATO naval forces help him open the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran effectively closed after the start of the US-Israeli attacks, but was refused.
Three officials said that in response, Trump threatened to cut off arms supplies to PURL, NATO’s European-funded arms procurement initiative for Ukraine.
As a result, a group of states, which included key members of the alliance – France, Germany and the United Kingdom – published a hastily agreed statement on March 19. In it, the countries expressed their readiness to join efforts to ensure safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
