Tuapse port under attack again: after explosions, a fire broke out at the refinery

As a result of the strikes, numerous fire sources were recorded, probably on oil tanks.

The Russian port of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory has again come under attack by drones. This is reported by the ASTRA telegram channel.

On the night of April 20, explosions were heard in the port area, after which a large-scale fire broke out on the territory. According to preliminary information, port infrastructure facilities, as well as the Tuapse Oil Refinery, were hit.

As of this morning, approximately ten fire points were reported. Oil tanks were probably ignited as a result of the hits.

As a reminder, the Tuapse Oil Refinery, which is part of Rosneft, is part of a single production and logistics complex together with a sea terminal. The facility plays a key role in the transshipment and export of oil products across the Black Sea, ensuring the supply of fuel to the south of the Russian Federation.

This is the second attack on Tuapse in the past week. The previous strike on April 16 also caused a large-scale fire and significant damage to the infrastructure.

Repeated strikes on port and oil infrastructure could have systemic consequences for logistics. These include risks of disruptions in transshipment, complications in export operations, and additional costs for restoring facilities.

Also, the day before, USM wrote that drones had attacked the Yeisk port in the Russian Federation.
