Turkey let go a ship with stolen Ukrainian grain
The Turkish authorities released a bulk carrier with stolen Ukrainian grain despite calls from Ukraine to arrest the vessel.
The Turkish authorities released the bulk carrier Bomustafa O, which was transporting barley from the occupied territories of Ukraine. In this way, the country ignored Ukraine’s appeal regarding the seizure of the vessel and cargo. This was reported by “Mirotvorets” journalist Kateryna Yaresko on Facebook.
The bulker entered the Turkish port of Samsun on April 17 with 19,000 tons of stolen grain. Interestingly, in January 2023, Bomustafa O was also involved in the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the “grain corridor”.
It is noted that the bulk carrier was loaded at the anchorage of the Kavkaz port, barley was delivered from the occupied Crimea.
The ship, which works in the interests of the marauding country, was built back in 1995. Bomustafa O walks under the flag of Panama. The summer deadweight of the bulker is 24,173 tons.
