UCAB calls on the government to continue the reservation of farmers

The agricultural community calls on the government of Ukraine to extend the reservation period for farmers.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine was asked to facilitate the extension of the deadlines for booking agricultural workers until March 31, the UCAB reports.

In the fall of 2024, the rules for booking employees of critical enterprises were revised. The criteria were updated, and booking according to the old rules was extended until February 28, 2025.

Currently, to book employees of the agricultural industry, the enterprise first receives a decision from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, and then submits documents according to the procedure.

The updated criteria for critical agricultural enterprises have been in effect since December 12, 2024. However, on December 16, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy warned of technical problems that may slow down the booking procedure.

In addition, a hacker attack on December 19, 2024 deepened technical problems with confirming criticality status and booking employees. Farmers are massively reporting long queues and the risk of disruption of the process, which is causing concern among the agricultural community about the impossibility of completing the employee reservation process within the established deadlines.

The agricultural community calls for extending the deadline for obtaining critical status by business entities in the agro-industrial complex until March 31, 2025 and accordingly extending the validity periods of previous decisions on employee reservation.

We will recall that on the «Diya» portal, you can now cancel the reservation of military-duty employees. In October 2024, the government allowed cancellation of reservations for critically important enterprises.

Earlier, USM reported that in May it became known that the agricultural holding “Nibulon” cannot retain all the necessary employees due to the imperfection of the current reservation format. “Nibulon” called for a change in the reservation format, because the 50% option no longer works.

Also, the Minister of Agricultural Policy Taras Vysotsky said that agricultural sector employees will be reserved for a year.
