UCAB: Ukraine has spent 29% of exports of agricultural products because of termination of the Grain Agreement
During July, Ukraine exported 3.7 million tons of agricultural products, which is 29% less than a month ago.
In July, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products fell by 29% compared to June. The decrease in exports was caused by the suspension of the “grain corridor” on July 18, as well as its low activity even before the expiration date, writes UCAB .
Thus, only 292,000 tons of agricultural products were exported through the sea ports of Odesa in July. Russian shelling of the Danube port infrastructure also had a negative impact on export volumes.
It is worth noting that not all products managed to physically cross the border. A significant number of vehicles are still waiting in queues for departure.
In general, during July, the following were sent for export:
• 2.3 million tons of grain crops (corn — 51%, wheat — 36%, barley — 13%).
• 330,000 tons of oil crops (rapeseed — 73%, soybeans — 23%, sunflower seeds — 3%).
• 549.4 thousand tons of vegetable oils (sunflower oil — 92%, rapeseed oil and soybean oil — 4% each).
• cakes 320.7 thousand tons (sunflower — 91%, soybean — 9%).
The largest declines in export volumes were demonstrated by those positions that have a significant weight at a relatively low cost. We are talking about cereals and cakes. Such products were mainly exported within the framework of the Black Sea Initiative.
