UDS is increasing transportation of MMC products

In 2024, the share of MMC products in the transportation structure of “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” may increase from 23% to 50%.

During 2022-2023, grain was the basis of the cargo flow of steamships, noted Deputy General Director of the UDS Vladyslav Belakh. However, the company maintained its strategic position on the Middle Danube, anticipating that the demand for the transportation of grain from the Danube ports will decrease after the opening of the Great Odesa ports.

In the last months of 2023, the UDS began to gradually increase the number of barge caravans on the Middle Danube. Next year, the Middle Danube will play a key role in the company’s transportation, and MMC products will take the place of agar products.

“Today we are in the process of negotiations and contracting. Our advantages are a large volume of the available fleet and complex logistics solutions, which make it possible to obtain an attractive freight rate. We offer a closed logistics chain that minimizes risks for the client. We are ready for partnership with cargo owners, stevedoring companies,” said Vladyslav Belakh.
