UDS will be able to transfer cargo from barges in the port Sulina

PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” received an offer to transfer cargo from river barges to sea vessels in the port of Sulina.

“The President of the Board of Directors of the Sulin Trade Port, Iuliu Stokloz, who was present at the meeting, offered an option for cooperation. It is about the organization of a transshipment point from river barges to sea vessels with a load of up to 32 thousand tons. Oil and grain can be exported from Ukraine, and oil products can be imported,” said the Acting Director. general director of UDS Dmytro Moskalenko on his Facebook page.

For the company, this is definitely an attractive offer, according to the UDS, because the distance from Izmail to the port of Sulin is much shorter than to the port of Constanta. At the same time, there are many aspects that require deeper study.

We will remind you that last week “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” reached a framework agreement with TTS Group S.A. regarding the possibility of transshipment at the checkpoints in the port of Constanta.
