UDS will create another production site for the repair of the non-self-propelled fleet

“Ukrainian Danube Shipping” has started the creation of another production site for the repair of the non-self-propelled fleet.

The new platform will allow not four barges, as now, but nine to be put into work at the same time, the UDS noted.

“The landing stage, where the warehouse of material supply was located, has already been moved to the fourth bay. In the near future, work will be carried out on the cleaning of the landing stage and the installation of communications. In the future, the new production site will be equipped with all necessary technical means, welding stations, etc. will be equipped,” the company’s press service said.

Also, the cleaning of the territory of the Fleet Maintenance Base (FMB) from garbage, illiquid from production facilities has begun.

“But this is only the first stage of development of FMB. In the future, we plan to create a modern repair hub with unified management in the fourth bay,” the UDS noted.
