UDS won the case against fraudsters who spread fake news about the company
The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company won a lawsuit against fraudsters who spread fakes about the company.
This summer, the shipping company was subjected to an information attack by the so-called “old fleet employees,” the UDS said.
On behalf of the trade union “Justice,” they sent letters with accusations against the company’s management to the Office of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers, and other state institutions. To simulate public outcry, the “old employees” turned to the organization“Main Council of Ukrainian Officers.” Such organizations, as a rule, use raiders to put pressure on business, the UDS noted.
The organization “Main Council of Ukrainian Officers” has already begun sending appeals with accusations against the company on its own behalf.
The UDS noted that in 2023, searches were conducted in the “Main Council of Ukrainian Officers” office, and the head of the organization was suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal smuggling of persons across the state border of Ukraine). This year, the Council participants were released under house arrest.
UDS appealed to the court to protect its business reputation. The charges spread by “Main Council of Ukrainian Officers” were refuted in court. The court obliged the organization to withdraw the appeal.
The shipping company emphasized that they would work to bring the raiders to justice within the framework of criminal proceedings. They also plan to bring representatives of the organization “Justice” to justice.
In addition, the UDS said that during the period of personnel rotations in the ministry, “old fleet employees” hoped to return to the enterprise “to continue stealing fuel, spare parts, and illegally using the fleet.”
Earlier, USM reported that UDS had put up for auction the entire naval fleet.
