Ukraine and Greece will work together to create maritime drones

Part of the Ukrainian naval drones are planned to be manufactured at shipyards in Greece.

This is reported by the Greek media outlet Kathimerini.

According to media sources, this agreement was the result of a meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week.

It is noted that the agreement on the joint production of naval drones concerns both the Ukrainian and Greek armed forces – the production line will be opened at Greek shipyards, which have the capabilities to develop such systems.

Part of the production will belong to the Ukrainian armed forces, the other part will be provided to the Greek forces.

The publication also notes that Greek companies that will participate in the construction of unmanned surface vehicles will also produce electronic and optical systems, sensors and, if necessary, explosives.

Previously, Greece announced the risks of oil spills due to the activities of the “shadow fleet”.
