Ukraine and Korea strengthen cooperation in maritime infrastructure development

A meeting was held in Warsaw between the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea.
This was reported by the USPA.
The main topic of the event was a discussion of strategic directions for sustainable development of the port infrastructure of Ukrainian ports, as well as a presentation of a report on the development of the “General Plan and Feasibility Study for the Reconstruction of Ukrainian Ports”.
The focus of the discussion was three priorities:
• restoration of port infrastructure;
• modernization of the specialized fleet;
• introduction of modern electronic management systems.
The implementation of the presented plan will contribute to supporting the maritime sector of Ukraine, integration into European transport chains and strengthening the role of our state as a key transport hub of the Black Sea region, the USPA noted.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol confirming their readiness to jointly work out opportunities for the implementation of the outlined projects, in particular, regarding the search for sources of financing and determining practical steps for their implementation.
