Ukraine and Poland discussed the export of grain to third countries

Poland plans to participate in the Grain From Ukraine initiative, within which Ukraine plans to export at least 60 ships with grain to Asian and African countries.

The transit of Ukrainian grain through the territory of Poland was discussed by the Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Henryk Kovalchyk, writes Ukrinform.

At the meeting, Solsky raised the issue of grain transportation, which is transported by trucks across the Ukrainian-Polish border.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Kowalczyk said that in connection with violations in the trade of grain for technical purposes, the supervision of grain coming to Poland from Ukraine has been strengthened. He emphasized that continuous support for grain exports from Ukraine to the EU “cannot take place without appropriate control aimed at eliminating threats to Polish agricultural producers and consumers.”

In this situation, Minister Solskyi proposed to improve the situation, which consists in separating vehicles that transport agricultural products.
