Ukraine confiscated a ship that entered the occupied Crimea

Ukraine confiscated the dry cargo “Usko MFU” under the flag of Cameroon, which illegally entered the ports of the occupied Crimea.

In Odesa, the vessel was detained by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service together with other law enforcement officers, the SBG reported.

The cargo was detained in July this year.

Currently, according to the court’s decision, the ship has been transferred to the ownership of the state of Ukraine. Its captain is accused of violating the procedure for entering the occupied territories with the aim of harming state interests, because any operations in the ports of the Crimea or the Sea of Azov violate international norms and the legislation of Ukraine.

We will remind you that in July, Ukraine detained a ship on the Danube because of ties with Russia. The vessel was on its way from Moldova when it was intercepted at the request of the Crimean prosecutor’s office. It illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine and transported cargo to and from Sevastopol, which is occupied by Russia.

In a few days, the SBU detained the captain. And at the end of September, the Prosecutor’s Office of Crimea informed about the suspicion of another captain of the same vessel.

Earlier, USM reported that ARMA had chosen a new manager for the arrested Russian funds.
