Ukraine disabled 12% of Russia’s oil refining capacity in recent days
Ukraine has paralyzed 12% of Russia’s oil refining capacity with drone attacks in just the last few days.
Over the past few days, three oil refineries in Russia have stopped due to Ukrainian attacks, Bloomberg reports.
These are the Ryazan Plant of PJSC Rosneft near Moscow, the Novoshakhty Oil Refinery in the south of the Rostov Region, and the Lukoil Oil Refinery (NORSI).
The Ryazan refinery with a capacity of 17.1 million tons of fuel per year is the main supplier of motor fuel for the capital regions of the Russian Federation. The Novoshakhty Refinery produces 5.6 million tons of fuel per year.
The three facilities that Ukrainian drones attacked in the last two days account for about 12% of Russia’s oil refining capacity.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that it is “quite fair” to inflict damage on the Russian state in response to missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.
We will remind you that the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnaftoorgsintez oil refinery, located in the Russian city of Kstovo, was out of order after an attack by drones.
Previously, USM reported that in January, drones attacked the St. Petersburg oil terminal, located in the territory of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation.
